A 'Hoover' worth savouring.

The loco is a great example of the large ligo liveried unit I recall so fondly.
The only thing that detracts from its excellent score is the orange plastic utilised to produce the ETH cable sockets and jumper cable housings on the cab fronts. Although acceptable, it shows that penny pinching is starting to creep into the production process. I would have preferred the parts concerned to be painted in orange paint... plastic never quite does it... except maybe "Lego" orange!
Thanks team.
P.S. Let's see some more AC electrics being considered... classes 81, 82, 83, 84 and 85s cheers.

No penny pinching here! Just a minor factory error.

Class 50 Rodney

few bits had dropped off in transit, the orange MU sockets on the front look toy like and need a blob of orange paint. over all though lovely loco, great runner

A fantastic addition to the Accurascale model range

Having already purchased the 66 and 31 and 37 from Accurascale the 50 was the next choice for me. The loco is most definitely a step up from previous models and has much better detail in several key areas; the windows and front guttering feature the correct sloping angled look and the headcode box area has the little handles as well. The body is easy enough to remove and fortunately I read up about this before committing to removing the body. 50021 runs nice, with the headcode lights and main headlight illuminating with the taillights on the other end correctly. The cab detail is also nice with every present and illuminated dials. The underframe also is much better and details are moulded solidly and also have the extra pipework modelled with the protective mesh underneath the air compressor area. Overall a nice model of the class 50, which I shall enjoying running more many years to come, shall look forward to run #2

Absolutely fantastic model, it looks and performs faultlessly. The weight of the loco is incredible and I couldn’t be any happier with it.

Another absolutely fantastic model. The class 50

I opted for the dcc ready version. Will add sound at a later date. First impressions of the loco. Absolutely fantastic. I must of looked at it over 20 times and I'm always noticing something else. The attention to detail is insane. It runs ultra quiet and smooth. The interior can detail just blows the completion out the water. Illuminated drivers desk is very impressive. So the question I've been asked a few times is. Do you think it's worth £189.99. Yes, absolutely. Hence I brought a second Accurascale DCC ready Class 50. The Hanson and Hall Thunderer. Judging by the detail on these Class 50s. The long awaited Class 89s will be amazing too. I'd highly recommend an Accurascale Class 50.
Well done to Accurascale for producing the ultimate Class 50
