BR Class 50 - Railfraight General - 50149 'Defiance' - Eksklusiv - DCC Sound Fitted

Class 50 might just be my favourite Accurascale release...it's been a while coming but most certainly worth the wait. The intricate details really give the loco the look of the real thing.
The roof detail is fantastic and the sound files really have the depth of bass to match the prototype. Absolutely superb all round.

So glad for the oppurtunity to further break my bank with the purchase of this great model.The sound is spot on, detail excellent, and running is smooth.

'Defiance' was a last minute impulse buy for me, because it looked so good in the pictures on the website. The model arrived here in Australia with no problems at all, and once out of its packaging, looks superb. It runs perfectly too, and the sound quality is wonderful, although I turned the volume down a little to suit my railway room's acoustics.

Some of the orange jumper boxes/receptacles are a little plasticky, and the orange square multiple working codes on the ends look slightly oversized to me, but those are the total extent of any criticisms I can make. The painting and decoration is faultless, the cab interior detail very impressive, and the smoothness of the running gear also impressive (no wobbling at all on the rolling road test bed). She looks right at home on my china clay CDA wagons (also Accurascale products).

This is a Superb(ly) detailed model. Incredible amount of detail including in places you can’t see unless you turn over the loco, fantastic features, and an amazing sound package. 1 very small piece had fallen off the front but not damaged so very easily rectified. Another fantastic model from Accurascale.

I don’t know how Accurascale continue to raise the bar time after time, but this really is a spectacular scale model.

It’s not a toy, and the fidelity means that there will be the odd bit floating in the box, and I’ll probably knock a few more off once it’s been around the layout a couple of hundred times.

This is a model which deserves to live in a glass case, and be admired by all. But in its heart it’s also a workhorse and it is only truly at home pulling a big heavy goods train and beating with the hearts and hooves of a pack of wild horses.

Get one, you won’t be disappointed.

I grew up and live in the part of the UK where Defiance did its freight trials, near where I live and grew up. Indeed the 50’s where everywhere around here and a huge part of my childhood. As Defiance was my favourite locomotive I was always going to get the Accurascale model, what I was not prepared for was how stunning it is, opening the box I absolutely loved it and have since bought two more. For me, the Accurascale Class 50 is the best 4mm scale model i’ve ever owned and I have owned many over the years. It’s a work of art and a real tribute to a wonderful class of locomotive that ment so much to me in my childhood. I will be getting more 50’s from Accurascale in the future.

Wow, yet another superb model from Accurascale and these limited edition boxes are something else.
Straight out of the box it crawls along at step one and just sounds incredible.

What a great model! Excellent detail, excellent sound! I usually do a fair amount of tweaking of settings on decoders, but Accurascale DCC equipped locos come programmed so well, I don’t have to change much.

This is my second Accurascale 50, looks and sounds fantastic. It's a heavy and strong loco as well and can happily pull very long trains. Highly recommended

Yet another top drawer model from Accurascale. If they can find a way to reduce the number of loose bits in transit it would be pretty much the perfect model. Only a couple of loose bits with this one, easily glue'n'glazed back on.
