Class 31 Lokpilot DCC Decoder

LokPilot DCC Decoder (No Sound)

Custom programmed for accurascale Class 31 locomotives, to take advantage of all features of the locomotive. 

Common Features:

  • The LokPilot 5 decoder can be used on analog DC and AC railways.The decoder switches between the operating modes fully automatically "on-the-fly". Usually nothing needs to be set.

    Features

    We know that you want your locomotives to be as realistic as possible. Therefore, we packed the LokPilot 5 with function outputs. Depending on the interface version, each LokPilot 5 decoder offers at least 10 amplified function outputs with 250mA output current each. In the versions with PluX22 or 21MTC interface, 4 outputs are added to control servos or logic level outputs. All important lighting functions are available. The brightness of each output can be set separately. The decoder masters the automatic pressing and detaching when uncoupling for ROCO®, Krois® and Telex® couplings.

    Motor control

    The engine control of the LokPilot 5 has been fundamentally improved again. A variably adjustable PWM clock frequency from 10kHz to 50kHz ensures super quiet operation, especially with bell-armature motors - the typical "hum" is a thing of the past. The load control can now be adapted to difficult cases with up to 10 CVs. The unique "Autotune" function enables the decoder to be automatically calibrated to the motor. With up to 1.5A motor current, the LokPilot 5 decoder provides enough juice even for older motors.

    Operational safety

    A PowerPack can be connected to the LokPilot 5 to bridge dirty rail sections and is included in all accurascale locos as standard

    Protection

    Of course, all function outputs and the motor output are protected against overload. We want you to enjoy your decoder for as long as possible.

Great decoder wrong functions set up

My view of the decoder is that it's a great decoder but it's the way you set them up with the functions I'm unable to use all the function has you make them with the function on the higher settings F17,18,19,20,21. Where my controller only goes to F13 like most set ups do. So F2,3,4,5,6,7,8, are wasted

Lokpilot Decoder for the Accurascale Class 31

Once again I have purchased a pre-programmed Lokpilot decoder which enables me full use of all the non-sound functions of an Accurascale - this time the class 31. The decoder is pre-programmed to allow the locomotive to pull away and accelerate at a prototypical rate and brake in a similar manner. In short, this is a one-stop-shop for DCC fitting your Accurascale locomotive without sound and it comes at a very competitive price. Highly recommended.

Problems

I fitted this decoder to my new class 31 loco, the model would not work correctly. I checked the instructions for the dip switches which I had set correctly.
There was very little control over by the locomotive. The model would speed up and slow down but took ages
to stop and start. I could not stop the
loco at a station. Eventually it would
stop. This prompted me to check the CV
s .The parameters had been set by
others making me think this was a
returned item or even second hand. I
had to do a full factory reset on the
decoder. After the reset the loco worke
correctly. I have fitted these decoders
to other Accurascal locos without any
problems.

Good decoder for the 31

This is a good decoder for the 31 and gives great control. I have remapped the lighting to lower numbered functions and the decoder is very flexible in how this can be done although it needs software like Decoder Pro to do this easily. It was very easy to fit into the loco
