Detailed Description

Part of the ‘Transporting Britain’ range, these coaches were synonymous with the East Anglian commuter traffic heading in and out of Kings Cross, Moorgate and Liverpool Street, however their use extended beyond just the capital, being used across the Eastern, Western, Midland and Scottish regions.

  • Accurate, replica BREL BR1 bogies, with separate detailing where appropriate, brake blocks aligned with wheels
  • Blackened RP25-110 Profile Wheels set in to blackened Brass Bearings for smooth, friction free running on 26mm axles
  • NEM Standard coupling sockets with a kinematic close coupling system
  • Scale width wire handrails, water pipes and passenger communication gear

57ft non gaugway coaches.

The model itself is 100%, having got the Crimson version I was dissapointed with the running numbers, load weight and guard colour which is hardly ably to be seen.

This makes the coach look just crimson with no markings when running on the layout.

I have very easily painted the footboads black as they were crimson.

I have on order some maroon and lined moroin versions where these will be I am sure light cream as per the steam loco colour.

These coaches are the best Mk 1s to date they are well produced have an excellent finish and superbly detailed inside and out with easy access via roof, and free running. excellent coach

BR Mark 1 57' Non Gangway Coaches.

Beautiful models and roof access is a brillant idea to fit passengers ( maybe Accurscale will consider making packs of passengers available, that would be the icing on the cake). All the team at Accurscale are again to be congratulated on another superb model .

Excellent new coaches from Accurascale

Just received a rake of three of the new Accurascale suburban coaches and have been very impressed. Running quality is excellent. Exterior detail is also excellent, interior detail is outstanding including luggage racks and posters and mirrors above the seats. Roof is secured by magnets, so removes easily for passengers to be fitted. Lighting is also standard and this operates perfectly with a built in stay alive which allows them to shine for over a minute after coach is removed from track. In my opinion, the best ready to run OO scale coaching stock available today. Other manufacturers please take note.
